The National Weather Service has issued a Red Flag Warning for areas in San Mateo County for Tuesday, November 5 and Wednesday, November 6. A Red Flag Warning means warm temperatures, very low humidities, and stronger winds are expected to combine to produce an increased risk of fire.
During this period, as a safety precaution, campfires are not permitted in Sam McDonald Park. BBQs are not allowed in drop-in picnic areas and visitors in reserved sites are restricted to charcoal BBQs only—no wood fires.
